MATTE CLEAR ENGINE SPRAY PAINT 2K - HIGH TEMPERATURE MOTOR PAINT (NO EXHAUST) 1K DIRECT ADHESION ON POLISHED AND CHROMED METALS

Matte clear spray paint 1K for direct adhesion to polished and chrome-plated metals in galvanic and brushed finishes, designed to withstand engine temperatures.

It is used as a simple protective layer. It works as a primer for painting chrome-plated objects or accessories made of silver, copper, brass, or polished bronze, adhering without the need for sanding.

This product is designed to restore and refurbish any engine or shiny or chrome-plated metal component.

It protects chrome from scratches and oxidation over time by creating a barrier effect, not a chemical one.

It has elastic properties that allow it to resist sudden temperature fluctuations caused by things like cold puddle water in the winter, which can wet a hot engine, causing the paint layer to expand and contract rapidly.

CAN IT BE USED FOR MOTORCYCLE EXHAUSTS?

NO! IT CANNOT BE APPLIED ON THE EXHAUST (MUFFLER)

It can only be applied to motorcycle engines, car engines, boat engines, and vehicles of all types.

It cannot be applied to vehicle exhausts. For these components, other paints, which are available in the exhaust paint section, are required.

CAN IT BE USED ON REGULAR ENGINES AND MARINE ENGINES?

It is suitable for any engine on any vehicle.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

This paint is the only one capable of adhering directly to galvanized, chrome-plated, and nickel-plated metals without the need for a primer or sandblasting.

The KSM1000 Extreme ceramic clear can also be colored black and is available in both matte and glossy versions.

With this paint, you can quickly change the color of your custom chrome components without needing to sandblast them, turning them into matte black or glossy black with perfect adhesion.

PREPARATION AND TOOLS

It is mandatory to wear latex gloves to prevent contact between the skin and metal.

Always degrease metals with our Kustomservice aviation degreaser.

PAINTING NOTES

Ambient temperature greatly influences the paint job and its result, so avoid painting in direct sunlight.

HIGH TEMPERATURE ENGINE PAINT APPLICATION

1. Degrease the parts well with our Aviation Degreaser.

2. Shake the spray can well.

3. Apply a light coat and wait 10 minutes.

4. Apply a full coat and wait 10 minutes.

5. Apply a second full coat and wait the following technical times:

• 1 hour in summer and 2 hours in winter before handling the parts.
• 48 hours before mounting.

WHEN CAN I TOUCH AND MOUNT THE PAINTED PARTS?

• 1 hour touch dry
• 48 hours before mounting

GASOLINE RESISTANCE REACTION TIMES

• 5 to 10 days for maximum chemical resistance (at a temperature of 18/20 degrees), the time depends on whether it's summer or winter.

• 1 hour if baked at 40°C.

NOTE: The paint can be baked to speed up the chemical drying process by heating it to 40°C for one hour.

PAINTING OBSERVATIONS

Drying times between coats depend on factors such as ambient temperature and should never be accelerated with mechanical means such as heat guns, bodywork ovens, or forced air.

IMPORTANT

The result of a good job entirely depends on the preparation and cleaning stage of the components. Therefore, care must be taken in the preparation more than the actual painting itself.
